Voter Registration

Main Content

Southern Illinois University encourages all students to vote. As a demonstration of that interest, there are several sites on campus where students may register to participate in the electoral process:

Office of the Registrar, Student Services Building, Room 251

Disability Support Services, Student Health Center, Suite 220

Remember you must register to vote no later than 29 days before the election in which you wish to vote. Also, students may register to vote at the Office of the County Clerk in the county and precinct where you maintain permanent residency. Alternatively, you may register to vote by completing and mailing an Illinois Voter Registration Application (available on line) to the Office of the County Clerk in your county and precinct of permanent residency. The participating campus offices also maintain lists of addresses of election authorities, including the address of each County Clerk's Office in the State of Illinois.
