Salukis In Unity

What is Salukis in Unity?

Salukis in Unity began as a way to remind our Southern Illinois University Carbondale campus of our commitment to diversity and respect for others. It is a two-week long initiative full of events and activities promoting respect and diversity.

Salukis in Unity is driven by our Saluki Creed:

“As a Saluki, I pledge to forward these ideas and ideals:  I discourage bigotry and celebrate diversity by striving to learn from differences in people’s ideas and opinions.  I will embrace the ideals of freedom of civilized expression, intellectual inquiry and respect for others.”
